Why should farmers keep accurate production records?

Our world is "shrinking" rapidly. Food grown and processed in Canada is consumed around the world. The world's consumers are becoming more knowledgeable and sophisticated, more demanding that their food be guaranteed to be free of contaminants. The better we are at providing food to the world that we can document as being free of pesticides, allergens, mycotoxins, pathogens, and other potentially harmful contaminants then the more competitive we can be in the global marketplace. The traceability of products is a reality of the food processing business ... it is fast becoming a critical reality for agribusiness.

It's good business, and it's the right thing to do.

It's simply as simple as that.

For more information on how this affects you as a producer, call us at Zeghers Seed Inc. - we'll help you understand why.
