Food Safety & the farm ... mark your calendars.

posted Feb 8, 2011, 9:11 AM by Doug Hyde
A few weeks ago I posted a short blurb titled "Why Should a Farmer Keep Accurate Production Records" touched upon the importance of maintaining accurate and thorough production records as a primary producer. Zeghers Seed Inc. encourages every one of our producer partners to attend the upcoming "Excel Grains Workshop" scheduled for Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Treherne at the Creekside Motel Meeting Room from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.

There is a program called the "National On-Farm Food Safety Program" managed by the Canada Grains Council, that could provide you with up to $2000.00 of funding toward establishing your farm as a certified producer of safe food products. Come on out and learn more about securing your share of the world's food market. It will be an investment that will pay off for many years to come!

Need more info? Call us at (204)526-2145 or e-mail us at info@zeghersseed.com - we'll be glad to help you understand why the safety of the food products is so important! Or you may call one of the workshop's organizers, Everlito Mendoza at the Treherne GO Office - (204)723-3232.
