About two weeks ago, we were audited by an independent auditor, and received a highly favourable report regarding our HACCP and prerequisite GMP programs. There were no C.A.R.'s (Corrective Action Required), and 5 minor program improvements were suggested (which have already been addressed). Although we do not have the certificate on our wall as yet, we are very close ... with only the dotting of the I's and crossing of the T's - and signing on the dotted line to complete!!

Even though we do not have the piece of paper on the wall just yet, our programs are all place and functioning well ... providing protection from food borne illnesses for our customers and the end-users of our products! These programs are not just for Zeghers Seed Inc.'s benefit (although they do give us a certain market advantage!!). They also provide protection for our farmer/producer partners by being able to track our products virtually from the fields they were grown on - right to the point where they become food heading toward the consumer's table!!

It's a satisfying feeling to know that we have the systems in place to provide good - wholesome - and safe - food grains to the world!!
