This certainly seems to be a year without seasons (at least without a clear cut seeding season)! Here we are in the middle of July AND ... many farmers are still (or have just started) planting forage crops ... some farmers have starting haying  ... there are some fields of winter wheat that are beginning to get a golden glow ... land is being prepared for early seeding of next season's winter wheat (some land has volunteer canola growth that farmers are hoping/planning to use as a source of stubble to act as a snow catch) ... Manitoba's farmers are working hard to make the best of a tough, tough year!
